Nick Leon is a Miami-based producer and DJ born in Oakland, California, to Colombian parents, who moved to Fort Lauderdale at the age of three. He began producing at 12 using FruityLoops borrowed from his older brother and went on to earn early production credits with artists including Denzel Curry and The Underachievers before co-producing on Rosalia's 2022 album "MOTOMAMI," which catapulted him to international recognition. Leon's dystopian club music samples the sounds of Florida's diverse ecosystem, blending textural experimentation, buried melodies, and Latin-inflected rhythms into a signature psychedelic style. His breakout single "Xtasis" sparked an international wave of recognition and cemented his place in the Latin club movement, while his album "A Tropical Entropy" marks a shift toward more introspective, varied territory beyond straightforward club bangers.
