Joshua Idehen is a British-Nigerian poet, spoken word artist, and musician born in London to Nigerian parents, now based in Sweden. He became a prominent name on London's poetry circuit through years of open mic nights and has contributed poems to Mercury-nominated albums including "Channel The Spirits" by The Comet Is Coming, "Your Queen Is A Reptile" and the MOBO-winning "Black Is The Future" by Sons of Kemet. He has performed at most major UK festivals and appeared in anthologies alongside Linton Kwesi Johnson. His collaboration with Swedish producer Ludvig Parment yielded the viral track "Mum Does The Washing," which led to sold-out shows and festival performances at Glastonbury and Green Man. Their full-length album "I Know You're Hurting, Everyone Is Hurting, Everyone Is Trying, You Have Got To Try" was released on Heavenly Recordings in March 2026, blending Idehen's powerful spoken word with electronic and jazz-inflected production to captivating effect.
