DBN Gogo, born Mandisa Radebe on May 28, 1993, is a South African DJ and music producer who has become one of the most prominent figures in the Amapiano movement. Born in Durban ("DBN" in her stage name) and raised in Pretoria, she gained national attention with her debut single "Khuza Gogo," which was certified Platinum in South Africa. The "Gogo" in her name is a Zulu term of endearment often used for grandmothers. Her career accelerated during the COVID-19 lockdowns when she was featured on Channel O's Lockdown House Party, and she has since performed at major international festivals including Coachella. In 2022, she established her own record label, Zikode Records, in partnership with Universal Music Group, further solidifying her position as one of South Africa's leading electronic music artists in the global Amapiano scene.
