APHACA

APHACA is a Danish indie pop band from Copenhagen formed in 2019, named after a species of yellow-flowered plant. The group consists of Rumle Hueg Kaersa on vocals, Bertil Engberg Nielsen on keyboards, Bertram Ask Plauborg on bass, and Noah Elias Rasmussen on drums. They released their debut album Et ar uden dig in 2022, establishing themselves as one of Denmark's most promising young pop acts with their catchy melodies and heartfelt Danish-language lyrics. The band's popularity surged in early 2025 when their single "Smelter Under Manen" reached number 9 on the Danish Airplay Chart, earning them mainstream recognition across Scandinavia. Their growing success led to a notable upgrade at the 2025 Roskilde Festival, where they were moved from the First Days program to the prestigious Arena stage due to overwhelming demand. APHACA's blend of indie sensibility with accessible pop hooks has positioned them as a leading voice in contemporary Danish pop music.
