The Doors Alive

The Doors Alive are the world's premier tribute to The Doors, widely regarded as the closest and most enthralling recreation of the legendary 1960s rock band's live experience. Formed in 2005 in the UK, the band has performed over 1,000 shows across Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and South America. Frontman Mike Griffioen captures Jim Morrison's look, attitude, and rich baritone voice while his bandmates faithfully recreate the sound of Robby Krieger, John Densmore, and Ray Manzarek. The band uses the very same instruments that members of the original Doors played, including vintage Gibson and Fender keyboards, to achieve an authentic 1960s sound. They have appeared at the Isle of Wight Festival and shared bills with Status Quo, Canned Heat, Eric Burdon, and Kris Kristofferson. Their performances have earned praise from former Doors road crew members as sounding more like The Doors than The Doors themselves.
