Smag Pa Dig Selv (abbreviated SPDS, meaning "Taste Yourself" in Danish) is a Copenhagen-based trio from Freetown Christiania, formed in 2018. The band consists of Oliver Lauridsen on tenor saxophone, Thorbjorn Ollgaard on baritone and bass saxophone, and Albert Holberg on drums. With just two saxophones and a drum kit, they have built one of the most explosive live acts in the Nordics, fusing acoustic techno, raw punk energy, jazz improvisation, hip-hop, afrobeat, and 90s dance music. Their debut album "SPDS" was released in April 2024 to critical acclaim, winning New Live Act of the Year at the Danish Music Awards. Their second album "This Is Why We Lost" is set for release in March 2026. They perform at venues including Loppen in Christiania, Hidden Door festival in Edinburgh, and Winter Jazzfest, with approximately 15,800 monthly Spotify listeners.
