Nora Brown is a banjo player and singer from Brooklyn, New York, United States, who began performing traditional Appalachian old-time music at a remarkably young age. Starting her musical journey as a child, she developed a distinctive style rooted in authentic mountain ballads and fiddle tunes, characterized by her clawhammer banjo technique and haunting vocal delivery that belies her youth. Brown released her debut album "Cinnamon Tree" in 2019 while still a teenager, earning critical acclaim for her mature interpretation of traditional material. Her follow-up album "Sidetrack My Engine" (2022) further established her as a significant voice in old-time music, featuring collaborations with veteran musicians.
