Ichiko Aoba is a Japanese singer-songwriter, composer, and guitarist from Chiba, Japan. She began her music career in 2010 at the age of 19, releasing her debut album "Kamisori Otome." Her music blends folk, classical guitar, and experimental ambient elements, characterized by delicate fingerpicking, ethereal vocals, and poetic Japanese lyrics. She often incorporates baroque pop and chamber music influences into her intimate, minimalist soundscapes. Aoba has released numerous critically acclaimed albums including "0" (2013), "Mahoroboshiya" (2015), and "qp" (2018). Her 2020 album "Windswept Adan" marked a significant evolution with orchestral arrangements and was inspired by fictional islands.
