Figurines

Figurines is a Danish indie rock band formed in the mid-1990s around childhood friends vocalist/guitarist Christian Hjelm, bassist Andreas Toft, and guitarist Claus Salling Johansen in Aalborg. After releasing their first EP The Detour in 2001, their debut album Shake a Mountain in 2004 brought them national attention. The band began as a quintet but later functioned as a trio, going through several lineup changes during their active years from 2001 to 2011. Their jangly, melodic approach to indie rock, reminiscent of The Shins and Pavement, earned them a devoted following in Denmark and international recognition.
