Dogma is a theatrical heavy metal band formed in 2019, known for performing in elaborate nun costumes and corpsepaint. The group consists of four women performing under mythological pseudonyms — Lilith (vocals), Lamia (guitars), Nixe (bass), and Abrahel (drums). Signed to MNRK Heavy in 2022, the band bills itself as 'a cult, a sect, a secret society,' channeling themes of sexual liberation, anti-dogmatism, and personal freedom through hook-heavy, NWOBHM-inspired melodic metal. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2023 to significant attention, blending 80s-inspired Euro-metal with glam rock theatricality reminiscent of Ghost, Alice Cooper, and KISS. The band has performed at major European festivals including Wacken and Copenhell, building a reputation for visually striking, conceptually driven live shows.
