Bro is the stage name of Kevin Andreasen, a Danish singer born on April 13, 1996, in Rodovre, Denmark. Before pursuing music, Andreasen was developing a professional football career, playing for Brondby IF's junior team and earning two caps for the Denmark national under-16 squad in 2011. He signed with Hurricane Records, a division of Universal Music, and launched his music career shortly after. His debut single "Hvor er du bro?" was certified platinum in Denmark in 2016, establishing him as a mainstream pop act. His biggest hit, "Sydpa," served as the 2018 season theme for the reality television show Paradise Hotel and topped Hitlisten, the Official Danish Singles Chart, cementing his position as one of Denmark's most commercially successful pop artists of recent years.
