Banned From Utopia

Banned From Utopia is a Frank Zappa tribute act featuring more of his former band members than any other touring group. Founded in 1994 for a tribute concert at the Jazz Open Festival in Stuttgart, Germany, just six months after Zappa's death, the project has evolved into a world-touring celebration of Frank's vast musical legacy. The lineup features Zappa alumni Ray White (guitarist and vocalist from 1976-1984), Robert "Bobby" Martin (multi-instrumentalist from 1981-1988), and Scott Thunes (bassist from 1981-1988), joined by three additional world-class musicians. Together they perform Zappa's music at an extraordinary level of energy and accuracy that honors the maestro's complex compositions.
